Skjønsbergdalen Farm is proud to present an entertaining and educational way to love and learn about our special goats!
The Angora Goat Project is a program that was developed to bring people and our goats closer together, ultimately nurturing a deeper appreciation for this special fiber animal.
The project is an “adoption” program where you can “adopt” a goat and make it a special part of your life. The goat stays on our farm, but you can come and visit and care for it and benefit even more with our different levels of adoption (see inside for more details). Our goats have been featured in “Out Here,” (Tractor Supply Co.’s bi-monthly magazine) “Hobby Farms” magazine and in “Grit,” a national, rural lifestyle magazine! Adopt and see why they are so special!

Level 1 - $19.95 – Welcome letter from your goat, 8x10 autographed picture, molock w/ribbon, and birthday, holiday and surprise goat e-cards!
Level 2 - $39.95 – All of level 1 plus “As the Barn Turns,” our monthly farm tabloid, Angora goat info, your goat’s bio and free admission to our bi-annual shearing day, held on our farm with refreshments in an authentic pioneer log cabin!
Level 3 - $59.95 – All of levels 1 & 2 plus
pre-scheduled visits with your goat (up to 2
times a month)!
Level 4 - $79.95 – All of levels 1, 2 & 3 plus
one pound of fleece from your goat! (If that season’s fleece is not acceptable, we will substitute another goat’s fleece.)
Level 5 - $99.95 – All of levels 1, 2, 3 & 4 plus a
handmade scarf made from your goat’s fleece!
The program will donate a portion of your adoption fee to a different charity each month. July ’s charity is Children’s Vision International in Bogota, Columbia.
The fine print: Welcome packets are snail mailed to you. Shearing dates will be announced in the newsletter and will also be e-mailed to you. You may visit with your goat up to two times a month, and visits must be pre-scheduled by e-mailing the farm or calling our phone number (details in welcome packet). If for some terrible reason your goat passes away, you can pick another goat at no additional cost.
