When we first saw Angora goats, we instantly fell in love with them. In full fleece, they resemble sheep, although their mohair is less dense and has a beautiful curl.

Mohair has been dubbed the angel fiber. Once washed, it literally shines! Mohair is stronger and warmer than wool. We sell our mohair to home spinners. We have all grades and colors of mohair. We sell directly to home spinners and mills, through contacts, and through Ebay. Because of our loving efforts, our goat venture has proved fulfilling and successful.

The goats themselves are wonderful pets. Angoras, especially wethers, are known to be wonderful 4H projects. Their small size makes them easy to handle and transport. They also make great companion pets. And, yes, they clean up the brush and weeds that cattle and horses may not touch.

They do need worming and delousing on a regular basis. They receive C+D Tetanus Toxoid injections every year. Some need their hooves trimmed more often than others. They are sheared twice a year, as their mohair grows at a rate of one inch per month. All of this, along with good shelter and supplemental minerals and grain, will ensure a happy goat.

There is so much to share regarding the care of the goats! If you have any questions not answered here, please feel free to contact us anytime. We are eager to share our stories!
